8. Seoul Station

What is it? A dark new zombie-themed animation from Yeon Sang-ho.

Why is it a contender? Yeon’s debut The King of Pigs (2011) went to Cannes and his most recent film The Fake (2013) was very successful on the festival circuit.

Will it be ready? It might have been but given that Yeon is about to shoot a new big-budget live-action sequel to Seoul Station called Busan-Bound, it now doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing it any time soon.

What are its chances? If it were ready, very high. As things stand, unlikely.
