Coming Attractions: GRANNY'S GOT TALENT's Schtick Ain't Ready For Television

By Rex Baylon

Bawdy Korean comedies more often than not fall on deaf ears when they reach foreign audiences and Shin Han-sol's new film Granny's Got Talent is no different. Structured on the thinnest of premises, a swearing contest that has drawn various foul-mouthed individuals to compete for the title of master of cursing.

In the titular role of granny is veteran comic actress Kim Soo-mi of Marrying the Mafia (2002) fame and countless other films stretching back all the way to the 1980s. From the trailer provided, zany antics ensue throughout the picture but unless watching a rapping granny isn't your thing I suggest you skip the picture. For those brave enough and with a couple of hours to kill the film comes out on March 5th. Don't say I didn't warn you though.
