Director Hong Sangsoo’s Next Film Gets 19 Rating
Director Hong Sangsoo’s next film, Nobody’s Daughter Haewon, was given the 19 or above rating on December 6. The film finished shooting this past spring and is in the post production stage, awaiting a release date. The film stars Lee Sun-kyun who appeared in Hong Lost in the Mountains and Oki’s Movie. This will be the actor’s third collaboration with Hong. (KoBiz, December 11, 2012)

Lee Chang-dong to Sit on Dubai Film Fest Jury
The 9th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), which is set to run from December 9th to 16th, has invited acclaimed director Lee Chang-dong to head the jury for their Muhr AsiaAfrica Features section. (KoBiz, December 7, 2012)
Conglomerates Direct Korea’s Film Industry
It recorded more than 100 million views through November. It was the first year that milestone was reached - with one month still to go, no less - and translates an average two domestic movies seen by every Korean. That is twice the per capita views in the United Kingdom and nearly four times more that in Japan, according to 2011 statistics from the Korean Film Council. (Joong Ang Daily, December 6, 2012)
